Woman dies saving daughter in south STL accident
LOUIS – A woman has been struck and killed in a parking lot in south St. Louis Monday evening, according to St. Louis Fire Department. The 33-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter were walking out of a Walgreens store at the intersection of Holly Hills and Gravois after 6 p.m. A 50-year-old woman didn't put her car in park on the Walgreens lot, and when the car began to roll, she pressed down on the accelerator by accident, according to St.

Petitions for Michael Brown's juvenile records denied
A judge has denied two petitions to release Ferguson, Mo., shooting victim Michael Brown's juvenile criminal records. Judge Ellen Levy Siwak of St. Louis County Circuit Court Division 11 on Tuesday denied both petitions filed by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and GotNews.com. Last week, a juvenile court official said in a hearing that Brown had no serious felony convictions, such as first-degree murder or second-degree murder.

Michael Brown had no criminal record, police say
An 18-year-old shot and killed near a Ferguson apartment complex Saturday afternoon had no criminal record, according to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's office. According to police, Brown pushed a Ferguson Police Department officer into his car. Then, both struggled and at some point, Brown reached for the officer's weapon before a shot fired inside of the car followed by a number of other shots.

AG Eric Holder arrives in St. Louis
FERGUSON, Mo. - Attorney General Eric Holder has arrived in St. Louis and will travel to Ferguson, Mo. Wednesday in reference to the investigation of the fatal shooting of Michael Brown. Holder is expected to meet with Ferguson community officials in early afternoon. Holder will later meet with the FBI.

Antonio French freed after arrest in Ferguson, Mo.
St. Louis Alderman Antonio French, who was arrested late Wednesday while documenting the protests and police presence in Ferguson, was released early Thursday. After his release shortly after 7 a.m., French told reporters he had been arrested for unlawful assembly, but hadn't been given any documents about the arrest.

Wednesday, the United States Senate confirmed the nomination of Missouri's first African American man to sit on the state Supreme Court to be a federal judge – 17 years after his first nomination. Same-sex couples married in STL Wednesday
LOUIS – The City of St. Louis made history Wednesday night when four same-sex couples were married in Mayor Francis Slay's office, according to Mayor Slay's spokesperson Maggie Crane. Each couple received a marriage license from St. Louis Recorder of Deeds Sharon Carpenter ahead of the ceremony, which is in violation of the state's ban.
